The Mechanic is a room of Geometry Dash, Geometry Dash Lite, and Geometry Dash World, being introduced in Update 2.2. It is accessed by selecting the third hanging rope located on the last screen of the Treasure Room, requiring 2,000 diamonds to gain access.
Description[]
The Mechanic uses mana orbs as currency to purchase various Icon Kit items, and a special Music Customizer that enables the selecting of any downloaded music to play instead of the main menu theme or during practice mode. The Mechanic is also the only source of ship fires and icon animations. The Mechanic is run by the Mechanic. As of Update 2.201, 378,000 mana orbs are required to purchase every available item.

- The music that plays while in the Mechanic is Random Song 02, produced by RobTop.
- Update 2.201 had item prices changed:
- Icon prices were reduced by half of their value over 4,000 mana orbs; for example, icons costing 10,000 mana orbs prior to the update now cost 7,000 mana orbs. [verification needed].
- Shipfire prices were reduced from 30,000 mana orbs to 20,000 mana orbs.
- Icon animations were reduced from 20,000 mana orbs to 15,000 mana orbs.
- The Music Customizer was reduced from 100,000 mana orbs to 40,000 mana orbs.
- Colours and death effects did not experience price changes.
The Mechanic dialogue
After selecting the rope in the Treasure Room with less than 2000 diamonds in possession, the following messages will cycle through:

- Can never get any peace and quiet in this game...

- I'm busy go bother someone else.
- You take one job then all of a sudden you're bugfixing the whole game.
- Hmm so if I push here... maybe...
- No, still broken...
- I have enough work as it is, can't go around helping everyone.
- Collect 2000 Diamonds so I know you're legit, then we can talk.
- Who ordered this thing it doesn't even fit...
