Moderators are Geometry Dash players whose accounts have been granted special tools for monitoring and moderating elements relating to player activity, being introduced in Update 2.0.
Description[]
A player can receive one or more of three moderator statuses by the selection of the game's developer. As of Update 2.11, a moderator can be distinguished by an M badge appearing next to their username, on both their profile page and comments (excluding leaderboard moderators).
- Leaderboard moderator: Monitors the global leaderboards and level specific leaderboards to prevent illegitimate submissions, including managing player whitelisting for the Top 100 Leaderboard. They were first assigned in Update 2.11 and were officially included in Update 2.2.
- Moderator: Can submit unrated levels and suggest difficulties (including having a higher priority in suggesting Demon difficulty ratings) to the developer for review, as well as add levels to the Sent tab. Comments made by moderators are highlighted light green (

). - Elder moderator: Possesses the same abilities as a regular moderator (superseding the rank), and additionally can delete comments on levels, can give players temporary bans from commenting, can remove non-featured user levels with under 1,000 downloads from the server, as well as whitelist featured Newgrounds artists. Comments made by elder moderators are highlighted dark green (

). - Developer: Possesses all abilities.[verification needed] Comments made by developers are highlighted cyan, although they retain the elder moderator badge.
